At Thornton Drainage Services, we’ve always believed that a strong business is built on strong community roots. This year, that belief took on a whole new meaning when my grandson joined a local football team and I was given the chance to sponsor a kit for him and his teammates.
It didn’t take me long to say yes. Watching him pull on his shirt each week, proudly displaying the Thornton Drainage Services logo, fills me with immense pride. It’s more than just a kit; it’s a reminder that local businesses can play a real role in supporting local kids, local sport, and the spirit of teamwork.
Seeing the team run out onto the pitch in their new kit has been a highlight of my weekends. The smiles, the determination, the excitement, it reminds me why supporting grassroots football is so important. And of course, having friends, family, and fellow supporters spot our company name on the sidelines has been an unexpected bonus. It’s helped us spread the word in the best possible way: through genuine community connection.
